Work as a journalist, teacher in secondary schools and facilitator in non-school projects of historical-political/ civic education. Work with NGO Action Reconciliation/ Services for Peace. 1986-1999 planning and directing the education department of the memorial and educational site ”House of the Wannsee Conference” in Berlin. 1999-2001 managing director of NGO ”RAA Brandenburg e. V.” (Regional centres for inter-cultural understanding, education and schools) at Potsdam. Since 2001 freelance work in teacher training and development of civic education projects for government agencies, educational and cultural foundations and organisations. Since 1992 historical advisor and trainer for Facing History and Ourselves, Europe. Publications on Jewish and German history of the 19th and 20th century, and on education. Co-editor of the bi-lingual CD-ROM Learning from History -The Nazi Era and the Holocaust in German Education, launched by the Goethe-Institute and the German Press and Information Office, 2000. Advisor and co-author of the four-lingual Website: www.lernen-aus-der-geschichte.de, launched 2001.
