Born in Tel-Aviv, Israel 1976–1979 Military service – IDF 1984 L.L.B. law faculty Bar-Ilan University. In 2001 appointed Minister for Regional Cooperation. In 2002 appointed Minister of agricultural and Rural Development. In 2003 appointed Minister of Immigrant Absorption. In 2004 Acting Minister of Housing and Construction. In 2005 Minister of Justice. 1999 Member of Knesset (Likud party) Member of Constitution and Law Knesset Committee, Chairperson of Ministerial Committee for Administration, coordination and government auditing, Chairperson of the Sub-committee for Legislation for the Prevention of Money Laundering; Chairperson of the Sub-committee for the advancement of women in workplaces. 1996–1999 Director-General of the Government Companies authority responsible for the privatisation of government-owned companies 1986–1996 Lawyer, private practice, specializing in real estate, planning, constitutional and commercial law 1980–1984 Intelligence services.
